2011 Iowa State Winter Indoor Track Camp

Run on the ‘Largest Indoor Track in the World’  and spend a day learning the keys to a successful track season.

The Camp is Open to:

  • All Sprinters and Hurdlers
  • All Discus Throwers and Shot Putters
  • All High Jumpers and Long Jumpers
  • All Middle Distance and Distance Runners

Your Camp Fee of $90 Includes:

  • Workout Sessions on the Lied Indoor 300 Meter Track
  • Limited Edition Winter Camp Performance T-Shirt
  • Meals for your stay - Dinner for 27th & Breakfast and Lunch for 28th
  • A night of camping, fun and games in the Lied Recreation Center.

  • Strength training geared towards track athletes
  • Nutrition for training and racing
  • Proper techniques and form drills
  • Competition Strategy / Mental Preparation
  • Proper shoe selection
  • Injury prevention/Injury care

Check In/Check Out
Check in will be held from 1:00 to 1:30 PM on December 27th in the lobby of the Lied Recreation Center (Beach St, Ames, IA) on the ISU campus in Ames. The camp will end on December 28th at 3:00 PM.

Housing:

'Roughing it in Style' - We do an indoor campout and will set up tents on the turf field of the Lied Rec Center.

What to Bring

Bedding, Pillow and Tent, Running clothes (2 x daily workouts), running and appropriate competition shoes, towel, toiletries and a sportswatch. A completed signed release form must be on file to participate.  This form accompanies the registration and can be turned in when registration fees are mailed in or received during check-in.  No exceptions will be made.

Cancellations and Refunds
After December 12th, camp fees are nonrefundable. Should a camper leave camp due to injury or illness, the camp fee is nonrefundable.

Health and Insurance

The parent/guardian's personal or injury insurance policy will be utilized as the primary insurance for the treatment of injuries and hospitalization of illness or injuries incurred during the sports camps.
